Cathy Corbett is an Independent Art Historian who specialises in
the history of twentieth century sculpture.
ABOUT CATHY CORBETT
Cathy Corbett completed a PhD on the wooden works of Ossip Zadkine at the Courtauld Institute of Art in London, in 2022.
As well as a BA Hons. (First Class) and MA (Distinction) in History of Art, her first degree was in Theology which she studied at Keble College, Oxford.
She is fluent in French, and can also read texts in Italian and German.
She wrote about Modigliani's sculpture for the catalogue of Tate's 2017 exhibition Modigliani.
She has published on the Kineton Parkes archive in the National Art Archive, and contributed a chapter to the catalogue for the 2018 Zadkine By the Sea exhibition in The Hague.
Her review of the exhibition "Archipenko and the Italian Avant-Garde" will be published in the August 2022 issue of
The Burlington Magazine
She is currently doing research on Zadkine's atelier and the students he taught in the United States and Paris.
